You can reach the LA Roof Guide editors by email at hello@laroofguide.com.
What to write to us about
- You found an error on a page.
- A city changed its permit process, fees, or forms, and our page is out of date.
- A link on our site is broken.
- You know of an official source we should read and cite.
When you report an error, please include the page address and, if you can, a link to the official source that shows the correct information. We check every correction against a primary source before we change a page. Then we update the "last reviewed" date on that page.
What we cannot help with
LA Roof Guide is an information website only. We are not a contractor. We do not do roof work, give quotes, inspect roofs, or connect you with roofers. Please do not send us photos of your roof or ask us to price a job. We cannot answer those requests.
For questions about your own project, these offices can help:
- Your city or county building department can tell you whether your job needs a permit and what the inspector will check. See roof permits for how this works in our area.
- The Contractors State License Board (CSLB) handles license checks and complaints about contractors. See how to check a CSLB license.
- The California Department of Insurance helps with questions about home insurance and claims. See roof insurance.
We read every email, but we may not be able to reply to each one.
